DIY Friday: O Canada Flags
Happy Canada Day!
I’ve got an easy and quick DIY craft for anyone who wants to make something to decorate your home for today!
Step 1: Cut a piece of white card stock to 7 1/2 by 5 inches. Fold about 1/2 an inch over on the 5 inch side. Using double sided tape, securely tape a wooden skewer inside the fold.
Step 2: Cut out two hearts from red paper. I used my Friskars paper cutter for this step, but you can cut out hearts free hand.
Step 3: Cut out two 3 by 5 inch strips of read paper. Fold them down the center and gently fray the paper edges.
Frey the hearts edges to.
Step 4: Glue all pieces onto the card stock, folding the paper strips around the edges. Note: you glue a heart on both sides.
Step 5: You can stitch down the flags strips if desired. It just adds a nice touch.
I found a perfect spot for mine in with these gorgeous sunflowers!
I am so thankful to call Canada my home! Enjoy the long weekend!

Laura this is just adorable. I Love your idea!! Perfect…
